Standardizing and improving website development and accessibility in the Cascade content management system. This includes HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Velocity scripting to manipulate XML, and templating. Also front-end work for web application properties: my.utrgv.edu, utrgv.edu/courseinfo. Developed Parking Spaces widget using fetch API for the Parking and Transportation Services department. This widget is used on their website and the universities iOS and Android apps. Developed A-Z Index of Departments and Offices using jQuery to filter user input on the front-end. Collected the data via XML and HTML output using Velocity scripting.
Managing and up keeping of all university departmental, and college websites. Contributing to university web applications (e.g. my.utpa.edu). Standardizing processes and documentation of web properties (e.g. blogs.utpa.edu). Launching eCommerce web applications for accepting donations online (e.g. bronccountry.utpa.edu).
Maintained, imported and kept clean data of all school alumni websites using the iModules content management system (CMS). Trained administration to use the iModules CMS. Other task assigned to me were updating and managing the Office of Institutional Advancement (now known as Public Affairs), Development Office and Marketing / Communications websites. Developed their first responsive designed website and highly visited publication uthealthleader.org (no longer published).
Managed, designed, and developed all aspects of the website. Contributed on obtaining credential passes to attend different sporting events in the Houston and surrounding areas. Including all season passes for the Houston Dynamo 2007/2008, 2008/2009 seasons and 2010 World Cup Qualifiers credential passes for games hosted at the Reliant Center.
I was a one-person team for the web department. They previously had no online presence before my arrival. I managed, maintained and updated the El Dia newspaper website using DotNetNuke content management system and designed and developed La Subasta website (archived).
Developed and designed a catalog for the company that featured apparel and tennis equipment. The company never had a catalog to showcase their merchandise previously. The catalog was designed using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop. After developing the catalog I trained their in-house design team to manage and continue developing the catalog.
